Soumya completed her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience at Vanderbilt University, where she also worked as a research assistant at the Vanderbilt Memory & Alzheimer’s Center, exploring inflammation-driven vascular remodeling in brain aging. She is the lab’s research technician and  focuses on studying the interaction between CAA and arteriosclerosis using AI-based quantification.
